Understand simulation limits
Color cannot carry meaning alone

Visual accessibility starts before contrast

Color blindness simulation helps detect interfaces that rely too heavily on hue to communicate state, risk or category. Matrix-based simulation is a useful design approximation, not a visual diagnosis. Use the result to tune palettes and add labels, SVG icons, patterns and sufficient contrast between important states.

How to evaluate a palette

Compare meaning, not only aesthetics

  1. Paste HEX colors from your interface, chart or visual identity.
  2. Switch between deficiency types and notice which colors become too close.
  3. Reinforce critical states with text, border, pattern or contrast, not only color.
